The River continues to make impressive progress. Four of the five tower cranes have now been erected on site, and 70% of the ground floor slabs have been cast, with the podium’s independent footing and basement slab nearing completion.
Bouygues Thai, was recently awarded the contract for the Main Building Works. The lift cores have commenced and are now between levels one and two and will soon be visible above the surrounding site hoarding, as they climb one floor every four days.
Another milestone completion is the installation of the on-site concrete batching plant by ORC. This will provide concrete for the project which facilitates stringent quality control of the concrete production. A benefit of on site batching is the reduction of transport movements and associated fuel emissions, which, together with bulk barge delivery of concrete aggregates by river, reduces the project’s carbon footprint.
